Discover the Soulful Sounds of Sam Bland
Born in Lawrence, Kansas in 1994, Samuel Bartholomew Bland showed an aptitude for creative ability from a young age, expressing himself often through poetry and creative writing. With strong motherly encouragement Bland signed up for the Middle School Choir and found a love for singing, especially in a group setting. While continuing to study music and art through high school and college, he also began to develop a catalog of original songs and formed the band Sam and the Firewatchers in 2016. Bland is still writing new music and performing with the same original members to this day.
Out of the Blue
Ten years of song writing manifested into the first ever studio album by Sam and the Fire Watchers. Eleven songs totaling almost sixty minutes, this album seeks to portray a level of depth felt during the creative process regarding experiences and changes in life, both good and bad, and how these experiences shape us and can often reveal our true destiny. This collection will mark the beginning of a life filled with creative expression and will be a reminder to brace oneself for the constant changes that occur in life. With each song from the depths of my own heart, I hope this music can speak to you the same way it spoke to me during the writing process.

Earth Wreck
After completing “Out of the Blue” in 2022, Bland sought out a drummer to perform with for his album release show. That’s when he met Taylor Everhart (The Codependents, The Schwartz) and they formed a strong friendship, resulting in the creation of a new musical project featuring classic, punk, and blues rock sounds and styles. This project is called EARTH WRECK and will make its official debut in 2025.
Three Old Men
Three Old Men were born from the fires of many camping trips and adventures outdoors. With ties spanning 20 years, Sam Bland, Nic Dikin, and Rick Garcia performed locally entertaining audiences with their storytelling and compelling arrangements of timeless classics.
